She has developed effective communication, coaching, advocacy, and mediation skills through working with adults and youth with diverse needs. Her robust organization and conscientious planning abilities have contributed to her ability to grow startups, clinics, and non-profits through program and staff development, vanguard planning, events, and fundraising.

Lina began rowing in high school at Havergal College in Toronto, Canada. She proceeded to race competitively for the next decade at both Hanlan Boat Club and the Argonaut Boat Club (aka Toronto Scullers). Seven years later, Lina began to coach both Masters and High School Rowing, returning to her Alma Mater, where she first had an oar in her hand.

After a brief stint in 2008, Lina returned to rowing decades later in 2024 at MRA with the Master Women's B team and moved up to the Master Women’s A team in January 2025.
