Felix Meier enters his season as the Marin Masters Novice Head Coach, M2R Head Coach at Marin Rowing in 2018-19. Meier also coaches private lessons to those who are interested in getting into a boat for the first time.

Felix began rowing as a high school freshman at Berkeley High School, looking for a multi-season sport that combined his love of boats and team sports. His competitive rowing career lasted through high school and through two years at UC Berkeley. By the time he graduated from UC Berkeley in 2015, he spent three years coaching rowing and many more teaching in other on the San Francisco Bay. If it’s too windy to row, you might see him windsurfing off of San Quentin!

Besides his previous boating experience, Felix credits his years in physical therapy at the end of his rowing career (as a patient, then an intern) in shaping his coaching philosophy. Since joining Marin Rowing, Felix has worked with adult rowers of every level, but mostly those new to rowing or new to rowing small boats.
