DIAL 911
Phone is located on the water side of the building on the 101 side behind the oars.

In case of a MEDICAL EMERGENCY:
1. DIAL 911
2. Use appropriate Medical First Aid Kit located under the table in the rear of the boathouse.

In case of an EARTHQUAKE:
1. Do not use the elevator.
2. Get away from windows and hanging objects.
3. Exit the building as safely as possible.
4. Follow exit signs.
5. Following the earthquake, turn off all utilities. See signs posted UTILITIES SHUT-OFF.

In case of FIRE:
1. Do not use the elevator 2. EVACUATE the building
2. DIAL 911
3. Meet at ASSEMBLY AREA - The designated assembly area is on the bike path in front of the MRA dock ramp.
4. IF FIRE IS SMALL AND CONTAINED, use fire extinguishers located throughout the building. Extinguishers are located throughout the building. Look for signs.

On-Water Emergency Safety Procedures For Rowers

If no launch or other boats are present to help:

  • Stay with your boat.
  • NEVER leave your flotation device.
  • If you can not get back into your shell, climb onto the stern, with your body out of the water, and kick the shell to shore.
  • If you can row, call for help after you are back in the boat and row to safety.
  • Call the Facilities Manager or Coach on duty. See Emergency Numbers.
  • Use whistle to attract attention.

    If a launch or other boats are in the area:

  • Stay with your boat.
  • NEVER leave your flotation device.
  • If you can not get back into your shell, climb onto the stern, with your body out of the water, and kick the shell to shore.
