Congratulations to the Adv. Men and Women Sweep teams and our Scullers for their outstanding success at Masters Nationals. Our rowers brought home a ton of trophies (check out the trophy case!) in addition to the women's overall points trophy AND the CLUB overall points trophy! Well done to all.

Marin briefs: LONG BEACH - The Marin Rowing Association took home a bevy of national titles and the trophy for most overall points at the 2008 U.S. Rowing Master's National Championships.
Marin racked up 18 national titles over the course of the four-day event and won the points trophy with a total of 842.25 points, 67.75 points ahead of runner-up San Diego Rowing Club. This marked the first time in the club's history that Marin won the points title at the national championships.
Marin also tallied the most points in the women's events, with 346.25. Marin rower Beth Travers and granddaughter Chelsea Lucas were a part of the gold-medal-winning women's G eight team.
On the men's side, Marin pulled out one of the more dramatic finishes of the event, edging Capital Rowing Club by 0.36 of a second to win the men's club D four with coxswain (3:38.03). Jiean Li, Alex Filatov, Mike Stralka, Alan Collenette and Joel Kimmel comprised the winning team.
