CPR/AED Protocol
Mouth Guards are in the drawer in the table downstairs,
in the AED and located at every team station.
ASSESS
Assess The Scene – What happened? Did they trip and hit their head? Did they faint? Were they working out heavily?
Assess Victim Responsiveness – Can you get them to wake up?
ALERT
Yell for help Call 911
Get the AED from the wall at top of the stair.
ATTEND
A – Airway
Use the forehead and chin to tilt the head back to open the airway.
B – Breathing
Put your ear to the mouth to listen and feel for breath.
Give 2 quick breaths to check that airway is open.
C – Compressions
Using the palm side butt of the hand in a double handed position,
placement the hands, palm down, in between the nipples.
Give 30 compressions 1.and.2.and.3.and.4.and..up to 30
then give 2 breaths.
REPEAT for 5 cycles or 2minutes.
NO CHANGE? Go to Defibrillation.
D – Defibrillation AED
Follow the directions and use the AED.
Use the AED for two attempts.
If there is no change, give 30 compressions and 2 breaths until help arrives.
